Do I need a drain pump?
Professional dishwashers usually drain by gravity.
If the drain is elevated or located far from your appliance’s installation point, a drain pump will help to properly discharge the water. With just the push of a button, the drain pump allows for complete emptying of the wash tank at the end of a work session.
Attention! The drain hose must be adapted to the distance between the appliance and the wall drain point, allowing the unit to be moved out of its position when needed.
Teikos recommends always consulting your supplier to assess the specific requirements of your kitchen.
Properly arrange the dishes!
Neatly loading the dishwasher basket without overlapping items enhances the cleaning action of the hot water. Tall and narrow items should be placed in the center of the utensil basket to ensure perfect internal washing.
Teikos also recommends considering that plastic-coated wire baskets (as opposed to solid plastic ones) offer the best washing performance. By allowing better water flow (both direct and rebound), they ensure optimal cleaning of both the inside and outside of dishes. Furthermore, a wire basket provides the highest actual capacity because it lacks bulky reinforcement edges—its structure consists only of the thin wire frame. Lastly, a wire basket has no hidden spaces where dirt can accumulate.

Teikos water softeners for hard water provide spotless cutlery and glasses, ensuring limescale-free results even in areas where regular detergents can’t reach.
The softener (or decalcifier), by retaining limescale, plays a vital role. The difference in dishwashing results is clear, and the machine will last significantly longer.
A good comparison can be made with coffee machines; a water softener on a dishwasher is just as important as on a coffee machine. Both devices have very similar water heating characteristics.
Standard settings for wash and rinse temperatures may not always meet specific needs. Depending on the properties of the chemical additives (detergent and rinse aid), it may be useful to customize these values.
With Teikos machines, separate temperature adjustment for the tank and boiler is incredibly easy; in all models, standard, you can customize the temperature effortlessly using convenient numbered dials inside the machine.
